White Peak Design and Build are a specialist timber frame design and build company. Our team combines the skills of qualified and experienced carpenters, an architect, and a construction manager. We love what we do and we hope that this is reflected in our product and service.
We’ve worked with our trusted local installers for years, and each comes with a wealth of experience in their individual areas, so you can be sure that the service and end product is of the highest quality. Our aim is to provide a professional, reliable and honest service, with well-thought-out products with no compromises on quality and value.
Meet the founder
The founder of White Peak Design and Build, Tim Taylor, has a BSc (Honours) in Construction Management and more than ten years experience as a Project manager, 3D Designer and level 3 carpenter.
Since graduating, Tim’s project management experience has ranged from managing multimillion pound work packages on large commercial construction projects to period building renovations and new builds for private clients.
After years of building up an excellent network of trusted tradesmen, architects and engineers, Tim launched White Peak Design and Build to meet the demand for high-quality buildings designed or customised to the needs of each customer.
Tim says “I enjoy working with clients to develop their ideas into projects that, put simply, look good, work well and suit their needs.
I have always had a big passion for timber frame construction, and I pride myself on being dedicated to the work I do. I value honesty and loyalty, and the experience of seeing projects through from start to finish.”

At its core, White Peak Design & Build is a tradesmen-led company with a passion for designing and building beautiful, innovative outdoor structures. We've been planning and carrying out various kinds of builds for years, but recently it's been garden rooms that have captured our imagination!

Our Team
We work closely with fully qualified and reputable architects, engineers and tradesmen to provide a professional and reliable service. We work with the client at their own pace to ensure that what we propose and build is exactly what you want.
Standard Designs
We've created a number of standard designs as a base for your garden room: the Reading Room, Functional Space, Office Pod, and Modern Office designs are each designed with different purposes in mind. All are built using high-quality materials to ensure longevity, and are fully insulated and watertight. A variety of cladding is available to suit the room's exterior to your tastes and surroundings.
Go Bespoke
All of our designs can be tweaked to your needs - door and window placement, lights, etc - but sometimes that's not enough! If you have a particular vision in mind, we'll work with you to develop it into a fully fleshed-out design. Once the blueprint is completed to your liking, we'll see it through into a fully project-managed build. Nothing's too much - we love an adventure!
